Shadowing and Volunteering: Each health career requires different recommended hours of shadowing. Depending on their fields of interest, students may be encouraged and/or required to complete more than just the minimum number of job shadowing hours for each tier. Students may also substitute shadowing with volunteer hours in a pre-approved healthcare setting such as a clinic, hospital, long-term care health facility or health-related non-profit organization. | Complete 8 hours minimum | Complete 16 additional hours | Complete 40 additional hours |
Reflection Notebook: Students will need to complete reflection entries following every shadowing and/or volunteering opportunity and workshop attended.
